ABOUT

Social media has become such a normal part of everyday life that most of us rarely stop to think about how it affects us. We're constantly connected through our phones, yet so many people still struggle with loneliness, comparison, and feeling disconnected from the people around them. That contradiction is what inspired me to create this portfolio.
I chose this topic because it's something I've experienced myself and something I see every day. Whether it's scrolling instead of being present, comparing ourselves to carefully curated lives online, or measuring our worth through likes and views, social media has changed the way we communicate and connect with one another. While these platforms were designed to bring people together, they often have done the opposite.
Through this collection of multimedia projects, I wanted to explore that paradox from different perspectives. Each project examines a different aspect of digital life—from the pressure to present a perfect image online to the way endless scrolling can pull us away from real-world relationships. Rather than saying social media is entirely good or bad, my goal is to encourage people to pause and reflect on how it influences their own lives and relationships.
