Image/Text Project

For my image and text project, I wanted to create a visual that immediately captured the contradiction of social media. My image shows a girl looking into a mirror, but instead of seeing herself, she is surrounded by likes, comments, notifications, and social media icons. This represents how our self-worth and identity can become shaped by online validation rather than our authentic selves. The simple text, "Seen by thousands, known by none," reinforces the idea that someone can receive endless attention online while still feeling lonely and misunderstood. Through the use of digital collage techniques, color, and layered imagery, I wanted to encourage viewers to think about how social media changes the way we see ourselves and connect with others. The project serves as a reminder that genuine human connection cannot be measured by followers, likes, or views.
